Description:
There is a unique power found in group work. Participants offer distinct perspectives and ideas that feed into rich insights. This workshop will offer models/curricula, formats, tools and experiences on providing group work. There will be several presentations in the morning providing information on current support groups in the Douglas/Sarpy County Community and in Programs. We will switch into a ‘sharing’ format at lunch and ask that all participants who are providing or have provided support groups in the past share their tips, perspectives, flyers/information on current groups open to community, and lessons learned on:
• Open versus closed groups
• Keeping clients engaged
• Marketing
• Peer Support Learning & Healing
• Logistics (length, time, spaces and places,)

• Confidentiality
• Challenges
• And more!
