The Sexual Violence Network Services Coordinator is responsible for the planning, development, coordination, implementing, and evaluation of intensive problem solving for those seeking assistance on survivor services, specifically sexual assault.
This position develops, writes and delivers training and capacity building sessions through a variety of media. The training and capacity building provided is to support the Network of Member domestic/sexual violence programs on all issues related to gender-based violence, specifically sexual violence.
This position primarily focuses on training and capacity building , Program Standards, policy and program development, and assists with the development and implementation of strategies for advocating within communities.
This position requires significant collaboration with other Coalition team members, the Network of Member Programs and Allied members, along with advanced organizational skills and strong multi-tasking and communication skills.
This position will build relationships with individuals who are in support of, as well as those who are resistant to the Coalition’s philosophical approach. In addition, this position must be flexible, adaptable and willing to grow in response to changing circumstances or progression within the movement to end violence.
The work of this position is based upon a strong anti-oppression framework, incorporating primary prevention strategies, grass-roots activism, cultural humility, social change, and social justice into all efforts.
