Job Summary:
The Communications Strategist is a member of the Coalition’s Prevention and Community Development Team and works in tandem with other team members to prevent sexual and domestic violence, dating violence, human trafficking, and stalking. Specifically, the Communications Strategist will develop and use communication tools and strategies to promote the recognition of these types of violence as preventable public health problems. This position will also guide the Coalition in communicating its commitment to equity, inclusion, and justice in its work.
Not only will the person in this position guide the Coalition in developing and implementing its strategic communications and media advocacy efforts, but they will also work closely with Nebraska’s network of sexual and domestic violence programs across the state to build program capacity in these areas at the local level.
This work requires a strong anti-oppression framework, incorporating primary prevention strategies, equity, and social change into all efforts.

Interview Process:
The Coalition will review your resume within 30 days of receiving it. If we are interested in your resume, we will contact you to schedule a 30–45 minute screening interview. If you are selected for a second interview and choose to continue in the application process, the Coalition will contact you within two weeks of the screening interview to schedule a second interview. The Coalition is able to offer interviews via phone, online, or in-person, depending on the resources available to you.

We are searching for the right candidate for this position, so this position will remain open until filled. The ideal start date for this position is ASAP, but we are flexible on this timeline.
