Super Support Groups: Incorporating Trafficking Survivors into Support Groups (Session 2)

Tuesday, November 24, 2020
9:30 am11:00 am

This is the second session in the training. You must register for each session separately.

What does it take to create a safe and healing support group environment for survivors of human trafficking? How is this different from the support group model used for DV and SA survivors? How is it the same?

In this session, Andrea Poston will discuss what it takes to invite and include trafficking survivors into a support group, including how to structure the group, promoting the group while also maintaining group privacy, and managing crises and triggers as they come up.

Andrea Poston will also discuss her work with Magdalene Omaha’s support group for survivors of human trafficking/sexual exploitation.
Please come ready to listen and ask any questions you may have about structuring a support group for trafficking survivors.
